Comparing the iPad 2 and Motorola Zoom

The new generation of Apple’s tablet P.C, iPad two are waited by the rest of the world.Unveiled on March 2, the iPad two features shows a lot of over its older brethren. Nevertheless it remains to be seen if these enhancements will be adequate to keep Apple’s slice of the tablet Personal computer market untouched. Back in 2010, the 1st iPad was a major success with a global sales around 14.8 million items. The first iPad was so successful with the estimated of 75% of the tablet PC market belong to Apple.
The iPad’s commercial success nevertheless , has attracted many rivals. With so many firms joining the tablet bandwagon and building their own iPad killer version, many are eager to discover how the iPad two fares against the improving competition.

1.Processor
The iPad two is fitted with Apple’s dual-core 1GHz A5 chip, a big improvement from the previous iPad. The A5 chip made a claim to be 10 times better graphical performance than the old iPad. We do not know for sure on the RAM size for the iPad 2, but 512MB is a big probability.
Motorola Xoom is kitted out with a 1GHz dual-core Tegra two CPU. At 1GB of RAM, this chip along with the Android 3.0 OS and make the tablet to multi task effortlessly.Advantage – Xoom
2.Display
The iPad two has the same 9.7-inch backlit-LED IPS display that may be found in iPad 1 which is excellent as it still is the best in its class.The Xoom has the standard 10.1-inch TFT display. 4. Design and BuildWhen it comes to design and build quality you know Apple does not disappoint. IPad two looks and feel are simply dazzling. The iPad two perhaps are fifteen p.c lighter and thirty three percent thinner than the first iPad, however the tablet are still build with top of the line materials.Because of it’s slimmer design, iPad two now are way more comfy to handle with the same solid feel.The Motorola Xoom is just as well made. Operating SystemThe iPad two comes with the new iOs 4.3 which features better browser and web application performance.The Motorola Xoom comes with the Android 3.0 “Honeycomb” OS which boosts multitasking capacities and has made it more user-friendly.We feel that the Honeycomb OS gives the Xoom an advantage. The iOs 4.3 feels like its merely a minor tune-up for Apple.Advantage – Motorola Xoom
6. Connectivity
The Apple iPad 2 comes with Wi-Fi a,b,g & n, and Bluetooth 2.1 capacities with A2DP and EDR. It als has HDMI-output. Nonetheless it does not have a card reader, USB Port and MicroSD slot.The Motorola Xoom has the same capacities as the iPad 2′s but none of its lacks. The Xoom has MicroSD support, Micro USB port, HDMI-out, Wi-Fi a,b,g & n ( dual-band ) and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR.Advantage – Motorola Xoom
7.Price
Well the cost of each tablet are fascinating. The Apple iPad 2 has an introductory cost of $499 for its base Wi-Fi unit.The Motorola Xoom’s introductory price is $599 for its Wi-Fi only base unit.The iPad two price are not predicted by the other rivals. Advantage : Apple iPad 2
Verdict : Out of 7 categories, the Motorola Xoom bested the Apple iPad 2 in 4. Feature and function smart the Xoom is the better tablet. Nonetheless Apple shows a great pricing strategy, we would not be confounded that the iPad 2 will wait to be the best seller in tablet Personal computer market ( once again ).
